El objetivo de esta actividad fue para que la juventud de Villanueva pudieran recibir un mensaje de prevención relacionado a las adicciones y sus efectos, ya que sabemos les ayudara a cambiar sus vidas.
Se contó con la participación del Señor embajador de Estados Unidos de América en Guatemala Todd Robinson, quien impartió unas palabra a los jóvenes asistentes, alentándolos vivir una vida libre de adicciones y lejos de las drogas. De la misma forma estuvieron el señor Viceministro de Educación Lic. Hector Canton, el Señor Secretario del Seccatid Lic. Rafael Sánchez, el Señor Alcalde de Villanueva Ing. Edwin Escobar.
En el evento se contó con la participación de conferencistas y especialistas en estos temas quienes abordaron los temas de una manera clara para los jóvenes participantes. También se presentaron testimonios de personas que han sido afectados por lo diferente flagelos, quienes mostraron a través de sus vivencias como afecta a la población juvenil la falta de información y formación en temas tan importantes como los que trataremos en el evento.
Para hacer de este evento algo artístico y alegre para los chicos, se contó con la participación del talento nacional y orgullo guatemalteco Said Palacios y Hancer Perez, ex académicos muy talentosos y reconocidos a nivel nacional.
Gracias al apoyo de la embajada de Estado Unidos de Guatemala, Fundación Azteca Guatemala entregó a los jóvenes material educativo, ilustrado e información que les ayudará a enfrentar estas adicciones, con información como: Que son las drogas, que son las adicciones, cual es el proceso de adicción, con afecta a las familias y como se pueden recuperar, ver la adicción como una enfermedad, tipo de drogas mas comunes, que es la codependencia, trastornos de alimentación.
